With more than a billion dong, Trung Hieu designed a car with a bed, a kitchen, a TV… to accompany his wife, one-and-a-half year old son and pets across Vietnam.

The family of Mr. Trung Hieu, 37 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City has just arrived in Ninh Binh on the 9th day of the journey. Sitting on a boat watching the blue Sao Khe river flowing through Trang An, Mr. Hieu felt happy because his dream for many years had come true, to explore the country with his loved ones.

One day in early June, feeling stuffy in the middle of a busy city, Mr. Hieu invited his wife, children and mother-in-law to go on a trip, not forgetting his two pet dogs. “I originally planned to drive to the central coast to let my family rest for a few days, but the more I went, the more passionate I became. So the trip suddenly became more than 2,300 km long,” he said with a laugh.

In 9 days, they drove from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Thuan; Phan Thiet; Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa; Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh; Quang Ngai; Danang; Hue; Quang Binh; Quang Tri; Nghe An; Thanh Hoa; Hanoi; Phu-Tho; Sapa, Lao Cai; Vinh Phuc; Ninh Binh. In which, the first day of driving is the longest with about 650 km of the road from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon City. In other places, families stay for half a day to 1-2 nights.

Throughout the journey, all the family felt healthy, even the youngest member was just over a year old. In the car, his wife can carry all her personal belongings and many things for her children. Except for the evening at the house of acquaintances and guests, they can rest and cook right in the car if they are tired or see a camping spot on the road. Fresh food is bought at the local market, his mother and wife always prepare delicious, nutritious meals like at home. At this time, he silently thanked the mobile home that he had just completed for more than a month.

Mr. Hieu is currently trading motorbikes and cars. He shared that since childhood, he has been passionate about learning Vietnamese history and geography, so when he grows up, his dream is to explore the whole country. Since he has a family and has a pet, he has always wondered if he can take them on a trip while still being comfortable. So the mobihome was born, based on his understanding of the car and the experience of his friends.

The type of car he chose was a 2017 16-seat Ford Transit, then converted into a 3-seater cargo van. On the car, he installed 5 more ceiling cabinets, toilet, sink, induction cooker, fixed bed, TV and roof-mounted water system. When storing the equipment, the car can carry 3 motorbikes, serving the delivery of goods to customers.

The cost he invested in the mobile home is more than one billion dongs. In which the car was bought from Da Nang for 600 million VND. Determining the design of the car to serve family and work, he selected every step carefully. The toilet device chooses to be installed on the yacht, so there is no vibration or leakage when traveling long distances. The TV he bought from LG’s Stand by me line has a wireless design, which can be moved to install in the car or bring to any camping site.

“During the long drive, I am very satisfied because the car runs smoothly, and the furniture does not make noise. Although driving can not be as strong and fast as traveling by plane, in return the window is like a TV. alive, helping my family see amazingly beautiful scenes,” he said.

Like the way to Sa Pa, Lao Cai, the members are constantly whispering because of the majestic scenery of the pass, green mountains and forests. This is also the most favorite family destination because of the cool, pleasant atmosphere, hospitable people and especially fresh sturgeon and salmon.

Or when he came to Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc, Mr. Hieu was surprised when he saw the clouds passing through the wheel. He shared that he had heard the name of this land since he was a child, but always imagined an archipelago in the middle of the sea, but when he arrived it was a high mountain area, the weather was similar to Da Lat. With the local people’s explanation, he understood that Tam Dao seems to be an “island in the sea of clouds”.

“This journey through Vietnam is not only about taking my family everywhere but also helping me fulfill my dream of seeing the beauty of the country with my own eyes. I also combine to meet partners and learn about the car market in different regions in Vietnam. this trip. So very happy and satisfied”, he said.

After visiting Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa, his family drove back to Ho Chi Minh City to continue working. On the way, they will visit a few more places, places that have not been able to visit will make an appointment on another trip through Vietnam not far away.
