Experience going to ‘infinity sea’ in Thai Binh

It is also the sea, but the beach in Thuy Xuan is not for bathing, but for watching the giant mirror reflecting the sky.

Nguyen Dinh Long, 33 years old, an obstetrician at Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, has known about the infinity sea in Thuy Xuan, Thai Binh since 2021. He is curious about the name “infinity” that people give the beach. the sea, and the two-day and one-night trip here took him by surprise.

Schedule

Long and two friends departed from Bac Ninh at 5pm on Friday, July 29, after completing all the work for the week. Due to work reasons, the group was quite busy because they had not learned in advance how to travel, eat and sleep in this area. They follow the Bac Ninh – Hanoi – Hai Phong highway to the exit of An Lao toll station (Hai Phong), then go another 18-20 km to reach the exit point of the yard.

Long’s group went to the above point, then stopped to find motels and places to eat.

Fortunately, there were a lot of people to ask, so Long’s group found a motel and a place to eat about 800 meters from the walk to the beach. To hunt the dawn, visitors have to get up very early, from about 4am to follow the fishermen leading the way to the sea. Long’s group, people holding chairs, people holding speakers, food, and cameras followed the fishermen who went to scratch clams and nail snails.

It’s dark, if you don’t follow the people, it’s easy to get lost. The walking path is all ankle-deep wading, so it’s quite difficult. Traveling about 3-5 km with a time of about an hour, the whole group arrived.

“It’s really worth it! That’s what we said when we sat on the couch, sipping coffee and watching the sunrise”, Long recalls that moment. He understands why people call the beach “infinity” when it is surrounded by low water, creating a mirror surface that reflects everything.

“Sometimes the horizon can’t be seen anymore, everything blends together. I’ve seen the sunrise in many places, but it’s really beautiful and overwhelming here,” Long recalls. Holding a cup of coffee, the friends turned on the loudspeaker to listen to “Let’s hide” by singer Den Vau and enjoy the feeling of relaxation, “seeing meaningful life”. After that, the group returned, still following the old route.

Costs and Notes

The total cost for the trip is 2.5 million VND for a group of 3 people. There are no luxury hotels around this area, only affordable guesthouses, priced at 250,000 VND per room per night.

Long said, in addition to the infinity sea, he was impressed by the delicious and cheap seafood of the Thuy Xuan region. His group ate all 50 surface fish, and 30 oysters, in addition to grilled shrimp and marinated chicken only cost about one million dongs. The cost of fuel, road and bridge costs an additional one million dong.
