See Mu Cang Chai rice fields on a deserted day

Chu Duc Giang, Hanoi, has just had a two-day trip to Yen Bai, with a total cost of nearly 1.5 million VND.

Duc Giang, 29 years old, working in the field of communication – organizing events in Hanoi, came to Mu Cang Chai to see rice at the end of August. He decided to choose the time before the holiday to avoid overcrowding. “If I go at the right peak, my schedule and experience will definitely be affected. Therefore, I go ahead so everything goes smoothly, comfortably taking photos without meeting the crowd,” Giang said.

When Giang arrived, the rice was still green. If he wants to come to the right golden season , the time will be from mid-September. However, the majestic scenery, the beauty of the terraced fields, and the desertedness are enough to impress him.

Move

Giang and 5 friends took a bus from My Dinh bus station at 19:00, in order to be present in La Pan Tan commune, 15 km from Mu Cang Chai town. The round trip ticket price is 600,000 VND. Here, a group of friends rent a motorbike to move around for 200,000 VND a day.

Accommodation

“I chose a homestay 2 km from La Pan Tan commune. This place is near the Kim junction, convenient to go to all directions as well as entertainment spots. In addition, from Mu Cang Chai town, there is a bus going down to La Pan Tan, convenient for commuting,” Giang said. A room costs 600,000 VND, for three people to stay.

Schedule

Day 1: Kim junction (far from La Pan Tan) – Tu Le – Lim Mong village – It Thai village – Khau Pha pass

Giang and a group of friends depart for Tu Le. Here, they can see firsthand how local people make nuggets. Com Tu Le is famous, and is a specialty that many tourists buy as gifts.

Next, the group visited Lim Mong and It Thai villages. “The scenery here is very lovely. We took pictures and filmed a lot of beautiful angles,” Giang said. The last stop on the first day is Khau Pha Pass. When reaching the pass, visitors can see the place to fly paragliding to see the terraced fields. Giang encourages people to experience paragliding so that they can enjoy the panoramic view of the majestic natural beauty of this place from above. After that, the group returned to the homestay, had dinner, and rested to regain strength for the next day’s exploration.

Second day: Raspberry Hill – Horseshoe Hill – dinosaur spine

After breakfast, the group began a new journey, with no less eagerness than the first day. The destination is Mam Xoi hill – which is known as the most beautiful hill in the Northwest, with a round shape, rising like a raspberry. Giang’s group wandered and took pictures in this area for half a day.

Near noon, the group moved to the center of Mu Cang Chai district to have lunch and rest to go to Horseshoe hill in the early afternoon. “If the steering wheel is weak, I should hire a motorbike taxi to carry it to this place. I went on a dry, sunny day, so I drove. However, because I went by myself, I was too busy, passing where I needed to go,” Giang shared. shall. Ticket price to the hill is 20,000 VND per person, you are allowed to take pictures freely.

The last point, but also causing Giang to lose the most strength is the “dinosaur spine”. From the national road to this place is nearly 20 km, but it takes more than 60 minutes to move. However, in his opinion, it is completely worth the effort to come to this place. “Standing from above, looking down, the scenery is as beautiful as Switzerland,” Giang said.

At 5:00 p.m., the group returned to the homestay for dinner, changed clothes and prepared to get on the bus at the Kim intersection to return to Hanoi at 9 p.m. The total cost for the trip, including meals, accommodation, sightseeing tickets and transportation, averaged nearly 1.5 million VND per person.

Before going to Yen Bai, Giang had been to Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Son La. He said he was “addicted” to the slopes and passes with the beautiful natural scenery of the northern mountains and forests. Among the destinations he has visited, he likes Mu Cang Chai the most because there are many beautiful terraces, the path is not too difficult. He was also impressed with the enthusiasm and hospitality of the local people and the waving of the children’s hands on the street.
